Go green with loads of fun! Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel customizes a “Gold Coast Green Journey Experience Programme” offering an all-round green educational experience to our future generations, allowing them to understand the idea of sustainability through a series of fun activities.
Green Upcycled Room
We are delighted to present the very first Green Upcycled Room in Hong Kong. Designed to demonstrate the amazing possibilities of upcycling, our special room features handmade upcycled art pieces, including an armchair made of wooden wine boxes and wine corks, a wall accent made of recycled plastic bottles, and coffee tables and chairs from magazines and egg cartons.

Gold Coast Farm
Let’s go green! Our Gold Coast Farm produces a variety of vegetables including beetroots, carrots, sweet potatoes, corns and peanuts.
Tree Hunt Game and Bird Watch
Guests are encouraged to explore the diverse species of trees and birds in Hong Kong with a self-guided Tree Hunt Game, created in association with the Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong.
Green Initiatives
As part of our commitment to more sustainable hotel practices, we have put in place a number of measures to reduce water consumption, single-use plastics, and food waste, and provide an all-around greener experience. With a wide range of devices such as umbrella dryers, smart water dispensers, solar panels, and projects such as our No Straw Campaign and Green Ambassadors workshop, we invite our guests to join us in building a better, greener tomorrow.
Butterflies and Herbs Farm
Co-designed by the hotel and Fung Yuen Butterfly Reserve, Butterflies and Herbs Farm is part of Sino Group's "Farm Together" integrated green project.
Leaf Path
The Leaf Path is a green walkway that connects Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel and Gold Coast Piazza, imprints of 20 leaf species gathered from trees around the Hong Kong Gold Coast.
